Domestic potassium hydroxide manufacturers produce an organic compound. Potassium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula KOH. It is a common inorganic base with strong alkalinity. A 0.1 mol/L solution has a pH of 13.5. It is soluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in ether, and highly hygroscopic, absorbing moisture from the air to deliquesce. It absorbs carbon dioxide to form potassium carbonate. It is mainly used as a raw material for producing potassium salts and can also be used in electroplating, printing, and dyeing.
